Delete your account
You can delete your Panthera Insight account from either the app itself (recommended — instant) or by sending a request via this page. This applies whether you installed the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. This page also satisfies Google Play's web-based account-deletion requirement.
1. Recommended: delete in-app
Open the Panthera Insight app, go to Settings → Delete account, and confirm. The app calls our server-side deletion routine while you wait; on success it signs you out and clears any cached data on the device.
2. Alternative: request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app — for example, the email you signed up with is no longer reachable — send a deletion request to the address below. We will verify your identity using details only the account holder is expected to know, then run the same deletion routine on your behalf.
We aim to action verified requests within 7 calendar days, and always within the 30 days required by applicable data protection law.
What gets deleted
Account deletion removes your access to the app. Specifically:
- Your authentication record (email, sign-in metadata) in our identity store.
- Your invitation row in the allow-list — without it, the email address can no longer request a sign-in code.
- Any short-lived rate-limiting bookkeeping keyed against your email.
What we retain (and why)
Panthera International Asia Capital Pte. Ltd. is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) under Capital Markets Services Licence CMS101735. As a MAS-licensed entity we are required to keep client records — including the portfolio reports and the profile information against which they are prepared — for the periods set by the applicable regulations. The Panthera Insight app is a read-only window onto those firm records; the records themselves are not generated by you and remain in our books after your account is deleted. They are accessed only where the law requires, and protected by the same controls that governed them while your account was active.
This is permitted under the right-to-erasure carve-outs in UK GDPR (Art. 17(3)(b) — compliance with a legal obligation), the Singapore PDPA (business / legal-obligation exception) and Canada's PIPEDA + Quebec Law 25 (limits on the right to deletion where records must be retained under another law).
What also persists
- Sub-processor backups (database point-in-time recovery, storage replication). These are not directly readable and roll off on the sub-processor's normal retention schedule.
- PDFs you yourself saved to your phone's Documents folder while signed in. Those files are local to your device; remove them the same way you would any other downloaded file.
